Have you seen this family in Wellington Street, Whitwood 1871? Although the middle name is different, the other details seem to fit.
Thomas Mafsil Hall    45 Earthenware Dealer, born Rawcliffe, Yorkshire
Christiana M Hall    46 born Beverley
Mary Matril Hall    14
Daniel Matisel Hall    11 born (1860) Rawcliffe Yorkshire

Thankyou for the information, I feel this is Thomas Burgess Hall and family, Matisel may have been his wifes maiden name or something
I wondered if you could tell me what happened to daughters Mary and Francis, did they marry? I have visited different record offices but have found it difficult to track them, always difficult when researching  travelling people,
Thankou all for your reply,
Jan
