Title: Manchester College of Commerce
Post by: sorrelb on Tuesday 11 January 11 18:13 GMT (UK)
I attended Manchester College of Commerce from 1959 to 1961 but can't remember the name of the street it was on.  Can anyone help?

Welcome to Rootschat sorrelb  :D.

I think the College of Commerce was on Princess St, but 1959-61 is a few years earlier than my own memories allow. It might have been a split site - were you in the middle of Manchester when you attended or out in the suburbs?

I was there in the mid sixties and it was on Aytoun Street - but maybe you have found that out by now!

Welcome to Rootschat Lithops  :D  and thank you! although it looks as if Sorrelb hasn't returned to the thread, hopefully they will.
So the College of Commerce was on the same site that became part of Manchester Polytechnic later?

Got it, location described here:

Thanks to everyone who has replied to my query.   I discovered independently, ie from my sister!, that the College was on Aytoun Street.
