I am looking for a relative who was called Desiree (nee Terry). I think she would have been born about 1920's probably in London. She had a brother called Ian Hewitt Noel Terry who was in the RAF. Laterly I have traced her to Honington in the 1990's. Can anyone provide me with any more info. I would be grateful.

I am sending you a pm with some possible info
-
It is possible this person is still living so CaroleW is correct to use the pm system. If you discover that she is still alive then this post should be removed please.

If you are looking to make contact with someone in Suffolk who knows or remembers this person, might be better to send an appeal to the letters page of the East Anglian Daily Times.
We are all very happy to help with queries regarding ancestors, but this does not come under that category.

They are very good with appeal letters.
You might also like to contact the Bury Free Press as it covers the Honington area www.buryfreepress.co.uk/
There is still an RAF base at Honington.

I am actually trying to find more info on my uncle, Ian H N Terry and have drawn a blank. I know that he had a sister Desiree but nothing about her. I think the chances of her still being alive are very remote. Thank you for your help and suggestions - I will carry on looking!

I am trying to find Desiree (nee Terry) Her brother was Ian Hewitt Noel Terry, her parents, Noel & Dorothy Terry. Can anyone give me any information?
-
You need to give more information - a birth date for example to help people find her.

I've merged your latest thread looking for this person with the existing one but please remember we are not allowed to post details of living, or possibly living, people so if there's any chance this person is still alive please do not post any details here on Rootschat.

Ian H N Terry's mother's maiden name appears to have been Hewitt.
There are no births from 1912 (Noel & Dorothy's marriage year) onward for a Desirée with that MMN.
-
I don't have a birth date for her but her younger brother was born in 1920. I also believe that she died 2 years ago although this has not been confirmed. I can find no record of her anywhere but she is in her brothers wedding photos, There may also be a link with the Isle of Wight.
-
as said, Ian's and thus presumably her parents were married in 1912 from when MMN was shown in the Birth Indices.
What leads you to believe from a photo, that Desiree and Ian were siblings? Is it marked up with names?
It could be an Indexing error or ommision - you state that Ian was her younger bro, so that homes in on 1912-1919/20 for her birth year.
What name was she shown as at death 2 years ago?
ADDED: This birth didnt show up in Ancestry that I saw, but it leaps off the page in FreeBMD ...
Births Dec 1914
Terry Dorothy D MMN=Hewitt Chelsea 1a 671
Chelsea was the District that Ian H N Terry is registered.
Possible marriage in Wandsworth, 1942 to a Colin F Speagell - who may have died in Grantham 1998
-
I can find no record of her death. I know that she was Ian Terry's sister as my cousin also attended the wedding as a bridesmaid, but cannot help further.

Have you not seen that birth I posted earlier ? Get the Cert, I betg the middle initial D is for Desiree - anyway its the only femal sibling of the Ian, with the same Mothers Maiden name.
