Can anyone help here? I am looking for Peter Dunn born around 1855 in Shetland Islands. It is possible his parents were George Dunn and Margaret [Mann}

Hi Ev. I have seen that tree which says death year as 1911, but I have seen the actual grave and it says 1921. His wife was born in 1857 and died in 1931. He was married in 1875 ???

can't see a death for peter dunn in victoria 1918 - 1925
(going on that spelling - i'm not disputing what was on the grave)

1841 census - nothing shetland(SV)
1851 census - peter dun age 10 shetland
1861 census - nothing shetland(SV)
just looking at the free index - not the actual records which are pay to view

Hi Ev. Thanks for that. I have the Vic indexes and he isnt there so he is a strange one. I googled him and his wife and had a hit which says his parents were George Dunn /Margaret Mann. This coincides with the death entry on the Edwardian index [1911] That Peter died at Camperdown so It could possibly be him. That would make him 21 years older that his wife but that is feasable. Possibly a mistake on the grave as it looks like the plate was added after the death of his wife

Neither your Peter, nor George, are found within http://www.bayanne.info/Shetland/ There is one Peter DUNN but he was born in before 1770 and there is no further details for him.
