Hi,
I am hoping to find some info on my uncle John Dunne born in Kilkenny irl 1895. He joined the Army and was wounded and gassed on the Somme. He moved to Yorkshire after the War. The death cert gives place of death as N
Nazareth House,Park Rd North, Middlesbrough. Date 20/10/1983. I wrote to that address but got no reply.Hoping someone can give me some info into his life. bobsnr

Did he marry in Yorkshire?
If so - a copy of the marriage cert will at least give you his fathers name. If you know the name of his wife - you can search freebmd for births for Dunne with mothers maiden name ................
Nazareth House was a care home and I would very much doubt that they have any records from so long ago

Hi Liz. Thank you for your reply.I never met John but would love to have had the pleasure. I believe he did return to Irl after he left the Army but I think it was during the civil War here and it could have been dangerous for him to stay.I would love to hear anything you could tell me about John or perhaps his Family if that is possible.
