Hi
Can any one find Ann Heywood in the 1871 census please?
She was born about 1844 in Huddesfield and married Weber Robinson on 20th June 1871.
Weber was a coachman at the vicarage in Harefield, so Ann must have been neaby I think.
Help would be much appreciated.
Happy New Year

Thanks to all.
I have the marriage details and Weber's death, also birth of two children, but it is Ann that I am having trouble finding prior to her mariage.
Mary Ann Robinson does not seem to be any relation.

I think I have her in the 1851 and 61 for information:
1851 census transcribed as Hegwood:
Heaton Fold, Marsh, Huddersfield
All born Huddersfield
James Heywood, Head, Mar, 34, Watchman - Woollen
Sarah, Wife, Mar, 38, Huddersfield
Martha, Daur, 11, Scholar,
ANN, Daur, 7,
Frances, Daur, 5
Harriot, Daur, 2
1861
Franker? Lodge, Worksop, Nottingham
James Haywood, Head, Mar, 45, GAME KEEPER, Yorkshire Deighton
Sarah, Wife, Mar, 48, Yorkshire Colmbridge? (probably Colnebridge) Yorkshire
Harriet, Daur, 12, Scholar, Yorkshire Marsh
Mary Ann, Daur, 9, Scholar, Yorkshire Marsh
Ann is in service in Oldham, Lancashire
Ann Heywood, Serv, 17, House Servant Yorkshire Huddersfield.
We just need to find her in the 1871 now.

Hi,
James Haywood is still a Gamekeeper in Worksop in the 1871 living at 57 Park Street, Worksop. I think Ann is a couple of pages away at 27 Park Street, Worksop:
Arthur R. Eddison, Head, U, 37, Annuitant, Notts Worksop
Ann Haywood, Serv, U, 27, General Serv, Yorks Bradby (probably should Bradley)
Bradley, Colnebridge and Deighton are all in the same area just outside Huddersfield.

What a response. Thanks to all.
1. Ann remarried after Weber's death and subsequent cesus all show Huddersfield as place of birth.
1844 is est from ages on the census.
2. Weber and Ann Robinson had a daughter Charlotte.
She was baptised 30th June 1872 and a note under the date says she was born 15th March.
There was also a son, William Weber born 3Q 1875
Both in Harefield.
3. I dont have access to trees on ancestry :(
4. Thanks mosiefish, this is a breakthrough!
Marriage cert gives her father as James/gamekeeper. Also her second marriage was in Worksop..
I was wondering what she was doing there!
I am now wondering how Ann and Weber got together? Maybe his duties as coachman took him
that way. I guess that will be one of life's little mysteries!
Many thanks again for your help.

Hi Poppy
1) 1881 census - 2nd husband Mr Woods?
2) 1881 census - William Weber called Walter W.
3) Trees on Ancestry - pm me with your email address and I'll forward it to the tree owner - if you wish.
4) Wondering? - Ann was in Huddersfield on census 1871, married Weber June71, gave birth March72. Can't help thinking that they had met before.....
Maybe she knew someone (in Harefield) who introduced her to Weber?
Maria Clarke? She was a witness .........

Hi Jean
I think we have been in touch before re Vernon and Charlotte.
Have you made any progress on them?
I have discovered what I believe to be Charlotte's sister, Louisa, who married George Ogbun.
