Title: 1861 census look-up please
Post by: susanhs on Tuesday 04 January 11 03:47 GMT (UK)
Would someone kindly look-up the 1861 census record for William Rogers born 1805?

I know he died September 22, 1865 at age 60 at Tymawr Farm, Llanelly.

Thank you very much.

Wow.  Thank you very much Pam!  Earlier today all I knew was that my great-great-grandfather John Rogers was a farmer at Ty mawr farm.

The death notice reference I found for his father William Rogers had his age off by 5 years!  I only just found out his fathers name from this death notice.

I really appreciate your help.

Any hope for 1841 or for a marriage between William and Mary?
Regards, Susan

On the 1851 census where it says Mary wife age 49 rest...Do you know what "rest" refers to?

Thanks again,
Susan

Sorry

Mary wife age 49 rest born Llanelly.

all the rest of the family was born Llanelly instead of typing Llanelly for all the family. I put Rest  born Llanelly.

Oh, Thanks.  When you explain it is obvious.  It is midnight here (Canada) so I am tired and off to bed.  Thanks again,

Thank you Morgan.

There is a Cincoed Isaf farm in Llanelli that I could find so that is probably it.

 - only very limited recent information on it from my search so far.
