I was wondering if someone maybe able to help me look for a living person, believed to be in the Bristol area. I can PM the details.

Lil,

This is not the right place and how would anybody here be sure of your motives, you might be a debt collector for example?

Try the Salvation Army who have been finding lost people for well over a hundred years but, of course, it will cost you.

Regards

Chas

Chas is right - but as usual he is lacking the tact gene!

Chas - Lil has offered to conduct this business off the boards, so really it is none of your business if you are unable to assist (though the Salvation Army suggestion is a good one).  Please try to be kinder in your responses - we've been through this before and your new name makes no difference to the message!

Chas-I hardly think my motives are in question, perhaps I should have been less direct though and asked how to find a living person and a collector I am, I'm hoping for information and photo's ;D.

Arranroots- thanks :)

Carol PM on the way shortly. Thank you

We have a touch down....with the help of Carol I have made contact with one of the relatives of the person I was researching, funnily enough he is actually coming to NZ on the 9th Jan and has some information to share with me...how cool is that!

Thanks for your help Carol  ;D

Hi Carol

Thanks for asking.

I haven't heard from him yet. I know he's here visiting his son, so I imagine once he's had time with him, he'll give me a call. It's given me time to sort out my information. I shall let you know when I hear from him. I am quite excited to know about this branch of the family, there are so many of them!

Carol

I have had 2 phone calls from my connection-very pleased, he appears to be a lovely man, honest and open....we talked about his career and family. He is now back in England and will hunt down some photos and talk to his mother, who is knowledgeable about the older generation. We will keep in contact :)
