Title: Medlock St, Kirkdale 1921
Post by: Lesley123 on Thursday 30 December 10 21:18 GMT (UK)
Hi, Can anyone advise on how I find the occupants of 2 Medlock St back in March 1921? I have tried to back trace to 1911 census to see if there were any clues but number 2 isnt listed then but it does show on a birth certificate for 1921?
I am particularly interested in the date of birth for William McDonald if anyone has access to the occupants at all?
Many thanks in advance
Lesley

Per Gore's 1914 Directory the occupant of number 2 at that time was Mary Jane Ward, a chandler.

You could try looking in 1922/1921 Electoral Rolls for 21 Medlock Street available on Microfilm at Liverpool Museum. This will list everyone but it wont list Woman who are under 31 years age.

Hi Lesley

Head of household in 1925 was Robert Sturgeon. If you know William's parents and father's occupation I can look for them in the alphabetical.

Thanks Ken
William should show up as the head of household unless he and his wife were living with family at the time- his wifes name was Isabella (nee Bevan). As its not an uncommon name I wanted to make sure I had the right William when I try to trace him back
