This photo is in need of your expert restoration. :) Seacat

I have worked with images like this before. To be honest with you the lack of detail on the image as classic as it is will just result with a not textured image still without detail ! I'm sure this isn't the news that you wanted to read but honesty is the best policy

It looks as though it's had a canvas effect added at some stage. It would be difficult to work with, or get any more clarity, with this effect - that said, there are some quite brilliant restorers on here.

I appreciate your comments and the photo is much better than was. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Seacat :) ;)

A bit of paint makes them stand out a little, but doesn't make it much clearer.

Feel free! m'dear but no going off topic we we shall get into trouble!
Now re your picture in its original state.
I have some wonderful family portraits that I thought were paintings when I first got them, but they are photo printed on canvas circa about 1901-1906. I have several.
I am told that it was often done like this in those days of yore ::)
So sorry Tony I forgot to agree with you 100% re the canvas and the brilliance of the restorers!
Rabbit B :)

Ahh- that explains it because I have several similar photos sent to - I won't post them for restoration.
Many Thanks Seacat :)

Aw go on - we like a challenge.
One a bit bigger - as nobody complained about the small one
