Title: East Halton MI's
Post by: john51 on Wednesday 15 December 10 09:03 GMT (UK)
James Moore & Mary nee Watson ( my gt gt grandparenst) lived at  East Halton from abt 1830 until my gt grandad Henry Watson Moore moved to Sheffield abt 1858. Does anyone know if the MI's of St Peter's Church, East Halton have ever been transcribed?

Thanks BillyF, I am surprised at the small number of names on the lists - do you know if they cover all the gravestones as I am very surprised there are no "Moore's" liste?  Quite a number of them lived at East Halton  for some years in the 19th century.

If you look at the photograph of the church yard, it's quite clear that very few stones still stand.  Likewise, the satellite view shows a similar lack of stones http://tinyurl.com/2de55dr

What is no longer there cannot be transcribed.  :-\

I found it by putting gravestones in N E Lincs into Google, and then you should find the rootsweb site

I think it is the fourth one down.

You will then get photos of all the church/graveyards in that area.

Good luck !!

Hi Janice, Theodocia was daughter of Henry Watson Moore my gt grandad.  I have a very extensive family tree which is publicly available on ancestry . Do you have yours on there? Can you please contact me at johnpetermoore@sky.com which is easier than using this.
Looking forward to checking out our data. Best wishes, John
