Hi
There are quite a few John Bradleys so it is quite difficult. Do you know when and where John died so it will help to pinpoint him or May as well please.
Evie
-
hi evie
unable to unearth that info through family or research at moment
i believe john bradley was born south shields
married may payne in lanchester, co durham
doesn't it get frustraiting
thanks
for trying
kev

Hi Kev
Yes it is frustrating. The only way to get a litle further is to purchase the marriage certificate which Pauline found for you and that will give you an idea on the ages of John and May and who their fathers were. As they married in 1913 they should be on the 1901 and 1911 census.

Hi Radcliffe
i know of 4 sons + 3 daughters to john joseph + may bradley nee payne
my father maurice being one born in 1933
thanks again
-
Hi Kev
I think there is confusion here. Who was married 1941?
Your dad Maurice was born 1933 mother's maiden name Payne. John Bradley and May Payne married in 1913. John Joseph was born 1900 so this can't be your John Bradley. Also for the marriage of John no middle name is used although it must be remembered that some did not use them.
You really need to purchase the marriage certificate as mentioned earlier because there are too many John Bradleys to be certain which one is yours.
The children you know of, are they still alive? Do you know them personally or by the FreeBMD site.

Had a look for a marriage in 1942 for a May Payne, can't see one at all - not that I would have gone with it.
Good idea to get the certificate Kev, merry xmas.
Looking forward to seeing who his father is.

Kev I think you need to start with your parents marriage cert and work back ,and then we can all help you ,there is no rush we ,know your dads date of birth and who his parents were ,I know certs arent cheap but they will save a lot of researching the wrong family, can you not access any family details ,someone in your family may have official documents stored away ,ask around and take notes, listen to what your family say ,and get back to us ,we can and will help you,its just you seem confused over dates,

Yes it does help as it states widow,so you have the cert for his second marriage, good,
Herbert William Fraser married in South Shields to Sarah Ann. South Shields December 1895,when I get in from work I will look for possible census entries for them,
possible birth for Norah ,South Shields December 1900,
or June 1902 also South Shields,
-
May Bradley died South Shields aged 42 ,June 1936,
-
Freebmd has the marriage of Henry William Edgar and Norah Fraser in September 1942,Durham NE
-
Right Kev ,we need to tidy this posting up a little and follow one line at a time ,so stick with your Bradleys for now ,I know nothing about your family so I can only suggest possible dates of bdm and census ,but as you have gone over into the Edgars and Frasers it has thrown me a little,so you decide which line you want to trace first,it makes it so much easier to do,
