Hi there Nan,thanks for replying and welcome Rootschat. I have had a look at your posts and I  do not think we are linked through our Davidson line. Here is what I have;
James Davidson Coal miner Auchinleck married to
Mary        "       nee O'Hara
James Davidson(1987) coal miner married to
Mary Allardyce (1990)
If this information means anything to you I can add earlier generations but we will have to exchange Private Messages.
The introduction tells you how to send a PM

Not sure if there is any connection but my Grand Aunt Elizabeth Farrell married William Booth Robb in Lanarkshire. I haven't come across many Robb's.

Hi The Robbs in my family tree have connections to Ayrshire and the name Allardyce. Allardyces were a family of mainly coal miners who lived in Ayrshire with large parts of that family emigrating to the USA. I'm unaware that any moved to Australia but that means nothing.
Good luck with your searches. Keep looking on this site I must say that it has been very helpfull with some of my brickwalls which had remained for years.
Best wishes,
Are.

Hi hullnow, All my Robbs lived in Ayrshire and Glasgow so I am not sure that any came from Kirriemuir. However, I can send you the info I have, if you think it would be of value in your quest. Thank you for your reply to "Are there any Robb researchers out there"
