Title: Finding fathers service records

I am trying to find out about my late fathers service records etc. He was a/c Selwyn Reed aka Yorky. He trained at Cosford and served in India, Egypt and the Cocos Keelings.his service no. was 2226763.any information will be very welcome.

This site gives you all the information for obtaining WW2 records, there may be some cost involved depending on your relationship to the person you are enquiring about.

MOD is the right route for Service records, although you may need to provide a copy of your fathers death certificate too.

I am trying to do the same for my grandfather - good luck Susie.

The RAF requests are currently taking about 8 weeks to come back  :( but that is not as long as the 8 months  :o that the army ones are taking.  Do let us know if you need any help when you get the info back.  By the way ask for a photocopy not transcription as the transcriber may make a mistake and that can lead you down the garden path...  :)
