Hi

I have a William Farrent (or Fanent) married to a Phoebe Walls (nee Wing - second marriage for Phoebe).

Does anyone have a William/Phoebe that they are researching.  I haven't been able to find out anything at all about them.

William & Phoebe were married 9 February 1807 at West Hoathly, witness to the marriage were William Wing & Rebecca Wing.

Greetings Rita,
I have found a Thomas Farrent baptized 1735 on the IGI. An extracted entry from Barcombe. There is also Francis a sibling bp  1746. Would this be your Thomas? rather than1731. I have also found the marriage of these two parents. Would you like this info?
Have you seen the Farrents in Laughton? They caught my eye as there is a John and Elizabeth there. I kinda suspect they may be not "my" John and Elizabeth who married in Hamsey. I just haven't found a marriage for the two in Laughton.

Hi all
This is the first time I have used this site. I am interested in Thomas Farrance and Sarah Ling.  Does anyone have a full list of their children as I believe George Pharrance is one of them. I wish they wouldn't keep changing the spelling of the name it make sit so difficult to track.  Also does anyone have the correct birth dates for Thomas and Sarah and does anyone know who their parents are?

Yes indeed we have had contact. I am still trying to fill in the blanks Yet to make a connection to the ones we know to a John Farrant who had children in Chiddingly in the mid 1600s. ( if there is one) So I am looking at all Farrants.
Sue my Eliza Farrant was born 1809 East Hoathly, her father John, so I am wondering if there is any connection to your grandad.  :)

Just to warn you that on the whole it is not a good idea to publish emails on here - they may be pinched and used for spam!    We generally use the Personal Message bit to send that sort of thing.  That is an option found in the square greyish picture under the name.
You can go in to delete it by looking at your post and pressing the modify button or sometimes the moderator will do it for you.

My Blenkinsop's so far are in Yarm in Yorkshire but if the very Sussex Farrant's make it to Suffolk who knows where I might find them next!

Hi all..I'm new to the site...haven't done any of this for AGES, but got bored tonight and googled a few 'Farrants' and came up with this site..and a good one it is too... :)

I'm related to the Thomas Farrance  married to Sarah Ling...I have them as having 6 kids for definite, possibly 8!
Sarah parents were Thomas Ling and Sarah !!!!! married Chivington about 1665....

Does anyone have info on who were the parents of thomas b 1662?

I have also found a Thomas Farrant who married Joan Grymston 25/10/1605 Castle Camps which is in the area, might be a lead for someone to follow up, maybe the grandfather of  Thomas b 1662?....I cant remember where I found it, didnt write it down!!!

Let me know of you find a link PLEASE.

Steve

Hi Rita....How many kids do you have for Thomas/Sarah?

I 'think' I have  8....Thomas 1688, Sarah 1690, Richard, Robert 1696 and Mary, Elizabeth (no dates)..I have  the # 8 written down by their names, not sure where I got it from but only 6 listed!

Would appreciate some of your info if you don't mind.

Where do or paths cross?

Does anyone descend from James Thomas Farrant (my great grandfather) b 1846 who married Kezia(h) Watts b1855 in Sept 1887?

I just did a 'query' on www.mytrees.com, the free bit (I'm not a paid up member) and found this:

Search Hits for Query: FARRANCE, THOMAS from 1620 to 1640; in all volumes.

It came up with one 'hit' but no DOB...it is just a guess that Thomas's father was also called  Thomas and was born between 1620/40..just a thought..might be of use to someone!
