Title: TASMANIA - Anita May THOMAS

Searching for any information on an Anita May THOMAS who I believe was born in Tasmania in 1916. She died in 2008 and I have her burial details from Geelong, VIC, cemetery website. She married my great uncle William John BELL possibly in mid 1930's. He had emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland, to Victoria in Australia. I already have details for him thanks (birth, army service, death). They lived in Colac, VIC. Any information on her parents, birth location, marriage, family etc., would be greatly appreciated. Anita May Thomas married in 1937  to  William John BELL reg no 6620


IF  you  wanted to  you  could purchase their marriage certificate  it will  tell you  her parents names and where and when born

Update on my last post in this thread.

Obtained marriage certificate for Anita Thomas. It shows that she married in 1937 at age 21 - so birth year circa 1915/16/17 - birthplace Tasmania.

Parents names given as Charles THOMAS (miner) and Florence HUTCHINSON.

Still unable to find any "concrete" birth record for Anita THOMAS or for her parents.

Any help or leads appreciated.

hi there anita and jock<william> bell  were my grand parents  they had 6 children  ..
dad and his brothers and sisters never new much about his scotish heritage.
my uncle heading to scotland in six months for a holiday ..
so any information on grandads family in scotland would be great
he would love to catch up while over there..
