Does any member know the cemetery where Daune Elizabeth Rashleigh who died in 1988 at her home in Killadeas, Irvinestown, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, is buried please? Otherwise, how would I find out this information?
-
hi romantic spirit you could try putting this post on the ireland -general board under fermanagh you may get help there as to local cemeterys for that area
-
Seems a good idea. I will try this. My sincere thanks for your positive advice!
-
Instead of starting a new thread I'll move this one to Fermanagh board so there are duplicate threads on 2 different boards :)
-
Hi,
There is an obituary published in the findagrave.com site but unfortunately it states "burial unknown". To find it I googled her name complete with inverted commas.
Regards
-
Also found the online obituary but it looks like the poster is 'Romantic Spirit.'

I am very appreciative to you both. The reason I would like information about her burial place is to add this to my memorial at Find A Grave. All her immediate relatives are deceased. If my request is moved as stated to the Fermanagh board it may assist me in this.

I moved this thread to Fermanagh board an hour before your last post on it :-\

Have you check the local papers they usual have a archive, or the local undertakers.
-
Since I have no knowledge about which undertaker was hired this would be very difficult. And with so many businesses now coming and going 22 years is a long time. Old newspaper obituaries is a better line to follow but such data is surprisingly limited on-line and a newspaper's staff are usually too busy to spend time searching. However, I will try this. Thank you for your kind assistance, rathmore.

Came across by chance article by Timothy Purnell on the Find A Grave Memorial
Daune Elizabeth Rashleigh born in Upton-upon-Severn, Worecestershire. Moved to Dublin with her parents in 1946, was an artist had a exhibition of her wax miniature in Dublin in 1955, moved to Fermanagh in 1960 to be near her sister.
Her sister Rosamond born in 1903 married Sir John Langham in 1930 and went to live in Co. Fermanagh.
So it is possible that Daune Elizabeth Rashleigh is buried in one of the Sir John Langhams graves/plots.

I've already mentioned the Find a Grave entry-
Also found the online obituary but it looks like the poster is 'Romantic Spirit.'

you can leave a message on this site or telephone them.

Well done, rathmore! The Find A Grave memorial you quoted is mine and I lacked this person's burial site. Although I had previously discovered the home of the Langham family the problem was that there has been a long family feud which reached its zenith in about 2004 and the present Sir John Langham has completely disowned his mother and she would probably be the person with the knowledge I am after. Nevertheless, the public contact form on the site you found is for general inquiries and there is some possibility a secretary may have such information. Many grateful thanks indeed!
-
Well I will keep looking, the Langham's must know were Daune Elizabeth Rashleigh is buried they have been selling off her art work.
So have you seen the death certificate?
I have not got a computer at home I come to the local library and my times was running out so I cannot remember the last name , came across a Daune Elizabeth Rashleigh but this Daune got married and died age 102.
I find it very strange that the sister in law of Sir John Langham death is not written about.
You will have to let us know how you get on.
-
Sorry the article was about a Margaret Rosamond Langham Newman 25.2.1907 to 21.7.2009
-
I have now discovered the burial site from the secretary of Sir John Langham. It is at Breandrum, Enniskillen. Very many thanks to rathmore who encouraged me in this matter.
-
Hopefully you will get this message. I have taken the photo of Elizabeth Rashleigh gravestone here in Enniskillen. Her sister Rosamond is buried with her. I have tried to upload the photo to FAG but having problems. Can you PM me your email and I will send them on to you. Plus I have obits with pictures.
