Title: Davison - Tandragee Church Records
Post by: jim1826 on Tuesday 16 November 10 15:16 GMT (UK)
I have just returned from Tandragee, where I searched the Ballymore Chrurch of Ireland (St. Mark's, Tandragee, Co Armagh) records for my family name Davison (Davis). I now have over 200 names (Baptism/Marriage/Burial entries) which we have not (yet) connected to family lines. Records are from 1783 to the late 1800s. These Davisons could have migrated to neighboring towns, townlands, and counties. Davison family groups have appeared in Portadown/Craigavon, Guiford, Banbridge, Ballymoney, Lisburn and more. Any Davison family researchers who think they may have ancestors  from Tandragee (and the adjoining Tullyhue townland) are welcome to view the records (http://history.davison.ca), and to contact me with family connections.

Hi "Flica"
Sorry, we only had 2 hours in the church vault and we really appreciate that. We only focused on Davis and Davison, and did not notice Moody.  Have you tried the askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml   site - we found our ancestors there - once you find them in Griffith's, get the map reference number, and note the townland. Go into the maps, find the right townland, and find the number - that is where your ancestors had land about 1860.
Good luck,
Jim
