Is anyone able to help find information with regard to the inquest of Emma Annie Cooling held in Manchester on 17th March 1909. Annie died aged 36 on 13th March from pneumonia due to Coal Gas poisoning. The coroner. Ernest Gibson returned an open verdict. Emma died at home, the Wellington Hotel back Pocadilly. Emma's husband was William Kellett Cooling the licensee of the Wellington Hotel. I have been told that no inquest records for Manchester survive from this period and that the only possibility is to find a newspaper report of the inquest. I live in Lincoln and am unable to get over to Manchester in the forseeable future. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ticktock - I've had a look at the Guardian Archives (then the Manchester Guardian) which my library gives me access to, but I wasn't able to find any mention.

Thanks for taking the time to look for me, I realise that it's a long shot it's just a shame the original records are no longer available.

You're welcome.
I hope someone can visit the library for you to look at other papers.
