Having difficulty locating a death record and hoping someone can help out!
Here's what I know:
Catherine O'Neill m. Patrick O'Hara Aug 11th 1841 Glasgow, St. Andrews (record found on SP)
son John O'Hara b. Feb 18th 1844 Glasgow, St. Andrews (record found on SP)
Their son John O'Hara is listed on the 1851 census as residing at 16 Crown St., Gorbals with his aunt Mary O'Hara, a widow.
Patrick O'Hara, a widowed traveling merchant, is listed on the 1851 census as residing at 27 George St., Stranraer.
The same Patrick O'Hara m. Ann McDonald Apr 30th 1857 St. Nicholas, Aberdeen (record found on SP age and parents match).
Some time between 1844 and 1857 Catherine O'Hara (O'Neill) died but I have been unable to find her death record listed on Scotland's People. I do not know her parent's names, but I believe she was born about 1810 in Gorbals (I've been unable to find her birth record as well).
Anyone up for the hunt for Catherine's death record?

Hi Katie
If Catherine died before 1855, you are likely not to find any record of her death unfortunately. As I am sure you are aware, official registration only began in Scotland from 1855. From the census info you have found in 1851, it looks like Catherine died between 1844-51 given you have found Patrick as a widower for that census.
I would think that you have checked on the Old Parish Burial registers on SP and nothing showed for her death?

Have you checked this death on the RC records for SP to see if it is a relation?
