LOOKING FOR IMFORMATION ON MY GREAT GRANDFATHER PETER MCGIVNEY CAVAN
DON'T KNOW WHETHER IT WAS KILLSHANDRA BUT A CENSUS LOOK UP FOR 1901 WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Does anybody have access to the 1901 census for Lavey Parish County Cavan
Found out that my great grandfather Peter McGivney was still in Cavan during this census so if anybody has access could they please look it up

there are no exact matches for the surname McGivney in any parish. The soundex search option suggests Gaffney - and there are 10 matches for Peter Gaffney. None of these in Lavery...

I now know a little more about my greatgrandfather he came from the townland of Crenew Kilnaleck Co Cavan and his father was Peter and3xggrandfather was Andrew. I have been told that there is still an Andy McGivney in Kilnaleck does anybody know of him, he still lives in the oldf family home it would be great if I could get in touch with him I know other extended family in America have done so
If anybody can help me I would be delighted and oh my greatgrandfather was married to Anne O'Neil

hi jane . i have looked on the latterday saints family history site and there are a lot of mc givneys including peter , dont know what d.o.b. so couldnt say if its the one you are looking for.

Looking for imformation on Peter McGivney of Cavan, I don't know the townland.
His occupation was general dealer, he would have been doing this job in the 1880s and beyond if anybody can help me I would be delighted

I now have my great grandfathers death certificat and it notes his father as also being Peter McGivney occupation General Dealer his wifes name is Maria Smith and she is said to have had 16 pregnancies, after further investigation I have found out that they came from Lough, Sheelin area in County Cavan, if anybody can help me further I would be delighted I have been told that the family still live in the original farm house

Yes my Greatgrandparents came from Creenow, Kilnaleck, this is now complete.
