Title: George Tennant

My great uncle George Tennant was killed in the battle of the Somme 1916. He was in the Leicester Tiger Regiment, but this is all I know about him. I would love to know his rank and number and possibly where he is buried.

His service record is available on Ancestry UK ... it shows his place of death as "Not Stated"

The CWGC entry shows that he had no known grave - in common with thousands of other soldiers

If you get the War Diary from Nat Archives of his battalion, then you can see what they were doing the day he died.
