Title: 1861 Lookup Please Noakes in Northiam

Could someone please have a look in the 1861 census in Northiam for the Noakes family.    The family in 1861 should look like;

David Noakes   73  Miller’s Loader Journeyman born in Kent Wittersham
Susan Wife       76 born in Kent Tenterden
Ann  Daug       46  Sussex Northiam (unmarried in  1851)
Elizabeth Daug 38 Sussex Northiam (unmarried in  1851)

Think I have found one of your Noakes in 1861

Unfortunately, she is in the workhouse at Tenterden in Kent - just a couple of miles from Northiam though

Elizabeth Noakes, Unm, 38, born Northiam, Sussex, Pauper.

Yes, that would be ELizabeth.  I guess there is a high probability that David & Susan did not live to 1861.  Ann may have married or emigrated somewhere.

Hello there,

Re your Noakes's in Northiam.
David died July 1857
Susan(na) died Jul 1856
Both are recorded in the parish church burials index for Northiam
