Hi
Am having some trouble re. above - he's my 3x Gt Grandfather - & was married to I think, Mary Whittaker b. 1804? The problem is that I can't find who his parents were or who Mary's were, either!? Would the marriage details show this?
Also would a marriage be recorded at Cholmondley, Cheshire of my Gt Gt Grandmother called Sarah ? b. c1814, she married James Davies b. 1823 ( Bronington in Flintshire)
Would much appreciate any info you can supply. Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi,
Pilot Family Search site has a baptism of Robert Oulton 6th March 1806 St. Bertoline, Barthomley to a Richard & Mary Ann Oulton. Another sibling Joseph 1807; Richard & Mary Ann marriage (and Banns - there are a couple of 'marriage' dates and looking at them they appear to be sequenced) 25th July 1804 - Richard Oulton age 24, Mary Ann Joynson age 22, same church as baptisms.
The marriage for robert & Mary Whittaker (same church) is also there but no further details and it is unlikely that the original record will have parents names.

Hi Junev
Thanks very much for info re. above Robert's parents! Only received notification from Roots, that you'd replied to my message on 6th Jan!! from Nov '10!! My fault I suppose, not been checking Roots lately!
Robert's mother, Mary A Joynson follows- as her grandson, Rowland's 2nd name was Joynson. Still having trouble locating this marriage tho' - Records from Barthomley, nr. Crewe, don't appear to be very accessible? Do you have any ideas where I may get further info?
Thanks again & best regards

Hi,
Which marriage is it you need? The Robert Oulton/Mary Whittaker marriage was 8th mar 1827 in Barthomley - Family search pilot - there are lots of other 'Oulton' records in Barthomley on this site going back to the 1500's and also Joynson.
