Title: THOMAS LORD
Post by: elsie52 on Thursday 04 November 10 12:49 GMT (UK)
Can anyone find this family on the 1851 census?

Thomas Lord (abt 1827), his wife Susan (abt 1827)  and six children can be found on the 1861 census living on Bunhill Row? Nottingham. They all appear to have been born in Nottingham St Mary. I have looked but cannot find them on the 1851 census.

RG9 2455 84 29

Any help would be great.

Linda

Hi
If you have been trying to find them on the Ancestry site, I have looked and a lot of Nottingham census returns seem to be  missing namely Nottingham St Mary's, St Peter' and St Nicholas, and others. I seem to recall reading somewhere that they were badly water damaged but iI cannot remember where sorry.

Ah, that would explain things then. Many thanks brianz - sadly, not much I can do about that.

Cheers,
Linda
