Post by: HICKELMEYER on Thursday 04 November 10 07:24 GMT (UK)
Hello good people! Can anyone advise me on this one...
My relative is on the 1891 census as living at 18 lancaster rd, kensington.
In 1901 cesus they are at 10 northdown str. Islington. My problem is, that between these dates, they lived at Portland rd. london. How can I find out where exactly? ?Land registry office ugh Any ideas greatfully accepted.

There are several Portland Road within the London area, what evidence have you documentary evidence where they lived?, an area might be helpful

My ancestors lived around Kensington too and in 1901 are in Portland Road Notting Hill.
As Louisa Maud says, how do you know they lived there?
Do you have a birth/marriage cert or somesuch with that address on?

There is another thought that has crossed my mind, electoral registers for Kensington I think are lodged at St Ann's library Westminster, a really nice friendly place to work from.
