can anyone give me information on my grandmother lily lloyd born 1914 married in the wirral dec 1935 to a william moore gibson born 1896 thankyou

There is a Lily Lloyd birth registered Wrexham 1914 WM/150/64

she was just registered by her mother then given to her grandparents to be brought up

So has the information above been passed down via family rather than obtained from another source? It's just that family tales aren't always 100% accurate :)

my dad told me he is the eldest son unless he was lied to but the story is lilys mother was pregnant her father died befor she was born so her mother had to give her up as the new man she had found years later didnt want her

OK....so as you don't go climbing the wrong family tree, it's always best to start from what you know and work back.

Are you able to check the details of your grandparents name/s from your Dad's marriage and birth cert? Jobs and address are useful too but don't post anything on here about any living person. Checking these will clarify Lily's name, she may have a middle one too which would help.

she doesnt and she has passed away i know she was registered with her mother as lloyd

Working along with Astra1963 as Lily was our grandmother.Yes the one registered is WM/150/64 is our grandmother.Anymore info would be great.We know the names of lily's maternal parents but we cant seem to find anything else out and we think lily's mother was frances.Thanks  :)

The birth cert would confirm her mother's name and address.  :)
