Hi,
:D
www.familysearch.org have William Gregory being baptised at St Michaels, Ashton-under-Lyne on 23 Sept 1832, parents John Gregory and Hannah.
I have also found on www.lan-opc.org.uk, the marriage of John and Hannah:-
Marriage: 14 Apr 1823 St Michael, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire
John Gregory - (X), of this Parish
Hannah Wilson - (X), of this Parish
I am however struggling to find this family on the census. I would be really interested to find them in 1841, 1851 and 1861. Hoping someone can help.
Thanks,
Luzzu

Do you have any evidence that they survived beyond 1841 ???

Hello
On http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=home there are christenings shown for children of John and Hannah Gregory at Ashton under Lyne, as follows ....
Edward 15/06/1823
Emanuel 21/08/1825
Frances 17/06/1827
James 20/12/1829
Rebecca 23/09/1832
William 12/10/1834
Eliza 09/07/1837
A few more names to search the censuses for might help to locate them.

Hi,
Thanks so much for your replies. I didn't have any evidence that they had survived beyond 1841, I was hoping that they might have done and it looks like they did. With the additional baptisms you found, it really does look like them in London in 1841 and 1851.
I noticed from the list of baptisms there is another William baptised 1834 and having checked back on the website the other William was baptised 23 Sep 1832, the same day as Rebecca. Does anyone think the first William died or perhaps it is a mistake as the 1832 is a submitted record whilst the 1834 is an extracted record?
