Title: 1891 census lookup - Gorleston
Post by: Satchwell on Tuesday 26 October 10 08:20 BST (UK)
Could someone kindly check the 1871 census for the Rose family. On the 1881 census they were shown as:-
ROSE, Clara head, m, 29 born Barking, Essex, fishermans wife
ROSE, Emma daug, 13, born Barking
ROSE, Clara  daug, 10, born Barking
ROSE, Elizabeth  daug, 7, born Barking
ROSE, Minnie daug, 5, born Gorleston, Suffolk
ROSE, James son, 2, born Gorleston.

I believe Clara's husband was James ROSE and her maiden name was Jamison or Jamieson.

I started on the opposite one to you Isobelruss :)

I can't see a marriage for Clara and a James Rose. Of course one of the children's birth certificates may help.

This could be Clara's death registration. Age and area are spot on.

Hey, I am related to the Jamieson/Jameson family that came from Barking to Yarmouth in the 1860s/1870s. Not sure this is the same branch but you have to suspect a relationship. Let me know if you want any information or if you have any that might want to share
