Title: Which parish?
Post by: ijl on Monday 25 October 10 18:01 BST (UK)
Hi there

I have family by the name of Jones who were living in Botteslow St, Hanley
in 1891 and Austin St, Hanley in 1901.
Does anyone know which parish these would come under???

 regards IJL

If you have seen the actual Census entries it will tell you at the very top right of the page.

The first answer I gave applies to the 1891 entry but the 1901 entry gives the ecclesiastical parish, again at the top of the Census page, but this time nearer the middle on the left hand side.

Both streets are in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and I suspect that Austin Street is in Eastwood whilst Botteslow is  possibly in St Lukes. The streets are within a 10 minute max walk of each other.
