Title: CLACHERTY & EGAN ~ GALWAY

I'm looking to find our exactly where in Galway my Gt Gt Grandparents hailed from - Michael CLACHERTY born circa 1865 (son of Patrick Kelly & Agnes McNamara) and Delia EGAN born circa 1866 (daughter of John Egan & Bridget Kelly) both Galway. 

They would have left Ireland sometime before 1894 as they were both married in St Patrick's Church, Dumbarton in that year.  From census records it does not appear that the families of either of them came to Scotland.

If anyone can offer and help or advice I would be most grateful.

on http://www.rootsireland.ie/ a pay per view but search for free site , register and go into galway east county to search .

1 egan delia birth to father john
Civil Birth Egan Delia 1871 Co. Galway

3 michael "clacherty"s all born to father patrick,s

 Cloherty Michael 1865 Co. Galway 
 Clogherty Michael 1867 Co. Galway 
 Cloherty Michael 1862 Co. Galway

just a note: many people named Delia were actually called Bridget!

How on earth did they get Bridget from Delia or vice versa I wonder?   ;D

michael cloherty , dad patrick mam mary folan 22 march 1867 galway

so maybe 1862 clogherty

No idea on the Delia/Bridget but I have come across quite a few people that were especially known as Delia but eventually found registered/baptised as Bridget

Can I just check this fact as in searching to help I found a marriage for the same named people in Dumbarton but in 1884
