I do realise that even in 1841 the place was big (and bigger in 1851) and Spencer was a common name but here goes anyway. If only they had had a wider range of first names.
Margaret Spencer. Born around 1837.
Please dont laugh!

Hi
Do you know who Margaret married?

yep William Hampson Sept quarter 1855 at Liverpool Volume 8b Page 50 Register Office or Registrar attended BUT gro.gov.uk will NOT let me order it online for some reason. Grr Frustrating.

This might be a stroke of luck (or a huge coincidence) ....
On the 1861 census, I think, William Hampson is recorded twice. He appears with his wife in Preston here (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,491461.msg3492702.html#msg3492702) and he also seems to appear at Liverpool RG9/2677 Folio 17 Page 27 as the Brother in Law of James Cockton Daulby and his wife Elizabeth (nee Spencer), who married in the second quarter of 1855 at St Philip, Liverpool.
If it is the same man (and it certainly seems so to me) then it looks like his future wife, Margaret Spencer and his future sister in law, Elizabeth Spencer might be found in 1851 at Liverpool HO107/2183 Folio 102 Page 70 and in 1841 at Liverpool HO107/561/20 Folio 12 Page 16 ... if someone else would like to check, please.

Wow posteria, well done. What a find, I agree it looks like you have found the correct Margaret Spencer as a result of William being on the census twice. Very considerate of him.
It didn't help having him transcribed as Thompson on FindMyPast :P
I looked at those parents for Margaret the other day for the simple reason they had named their child Elizabeth and William's mother was Margaret. However, I had no other proof, so left it alone rather than confuse matters.
