I'm looking for a ??? Bradley who was a lace manufacturer in Nottingham (possibly George Bradley). Could anyone help, please ?
-
Living in Birch Lane, Linton we find - HO107, Piece 858, Book 6;
George 65 Lace maker
Mary 65 - nor born in county
Caroline Bradley, 8
Ann Jerrom 60, not born in county [sister of Mary?]
Ann 15
Elizabeth Featherstone 25, Female Servant.
Ages are to the nearest 5 years and other relationships are not shown.

My guess about the relationship between Mary and Ann Jerrom was correct.
Family Search has a marriage between George Bradley and Mary Jerrom 17 July 1798, St. Marys, Nottingham.

Thank you very much....sorry....I'm not very experienced in these things. Does this mean that George Bradley wasn't born in Notts, either ?
-
Oh,I suppose he wa.because it says nothing about the daughter & she was, presumably. Could someone just confirm what is usuallly meant, please ?
-
The 1841 census did not detail place of birth usually. The normal provisions were only whether born in county or not - Y or N.
I only detailed those who were not.
Several of this family can be found on Family Search which is free.

Thank you very much, Hackstaple

Sorry......I'm just reviving this thread. As Mary Jerrom was born outside Notts, I thought I'd be able to find out where from the marriage details, but, in fact they were married in Nottingham. Is she still around on the 1851 census & does it say where she was born, please ? There are a LOT of Mary Jeroms/Jerroms/Jeromes around

In the 1851 census Mary's place of birth is given as Long Eaton, Derbyshire.
