If you give us an idea of names and dates we might be able to help you.
-
Thank you King
Hugh Todd was my 3rd Great Grandfather and Jane McCartney was my 3 Ggrandmother
I do not have any other info on either family as to siblings etc of either.I do know they had 6 children..Margaret b 1865..John b 1867..Henry b 1868..Isaac (my 2nd Ggrandfather) b 1870..Charles b 1873 and Mary b 1875. Isaac married Jane Fleming b 1870 in Newtonards to William and Narcissus Kaig or Keage or Caig
-
Mista,
I assume that you have the marriage of William and Narcissus (Nessy) and their other 5 children.
Regards
-
Kingskerswell,
I have William and Narcissus's wedding as May 8 1869..no other marriages no
-
Yes, the marriage occurred in Ballygrainey Presbyterian Church, Bangor. In my last post I was referring to the births of the other children.
Regards
-
no I dont have have any of the other kids marriages unfortunately..ps..how did they spell Narcissus's surname?
-
Like you I have found variations between KAIG and KEAGE. Howevey her first name is also varied between Nessy, Nessey, Agnes and Narcissus. The daughter Jane's birthday is also problematic. I have found a Margaret Jane born 23 Aug 1870 and a Jane McDonald Kaig born 5 Jul 1873 to these parents!!
Regards
-
Interesting as my Great Aunt was born and came to Canada with the name Narcissus Kaig Gray, so I will presume she was named after her grandmother, my grandmother was named Margaret Jane Gray, again I presume for her GAunt
-
The IGI (www.familysearch.org) lists 6 children for William Fleming & wife:
1. Margaret Jane FLEMMING born 23 Aug.1870 Co.Down (mother Nessy Keage)
2. Alice Fleming born 16 Oct.1872 Newtown Ards, Co.Down (mother Nessey Keag)
3. Jane McDonald Fleming born 5 July 1873 Newtown Ards, Co.Down (mother Nessey Keag)
4. Hugh Flemming born 17 Nov.1874 (mother Nessey Keag)- this is a submitted record
5. Isabella Fleming born 4 Mar.1877 Co.Down (mother Nessey Keag)
6. Richard Fleming born 11 Jan.1879 Co.Down (mother Nessey Keag)

Ty AG.
I had gotten those off of that site, but it had not shown other children...Agnes b 1881, Minnie b 1883, Martha b 1887 and William b 1891 in Kilbirnie North Ayrshire
-
The IGI has some, not all Irish births 1864-c1882.

Ty, I am looking at a site now but of course it costs money to see all..http://www.ancestryireland.com/quis_advanced.php

Here's the link to the website's home page (the link you posted isn't valid)

It's terms and conditions do not allow us to ask for lookups from the database-

Hello again,
Bought into a site, can see info on marriage of William Flemming to Nessey Keag...cant see any info on Nessey...So I guess I need to find out information on her
Found the family name spelt Keag, Caig, Kaig, Keage
-
The marriage certificate (1869) should list her residence at the time of the marriage as well as her father's name nd occupation, also names of 2 witnesses which might help. Since marriages usually took place in the bride's church it would be worth checking records for other relatives (unless it was a registry office wedding).
-
I've found Newtownards Registry Office very helpful in the past - if you call them with full marriage details (date/place/names) they will get you a photocopy of the original entry in the register for £4.
-
Have you exhausted http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rosdavies/SURNAMES/K/KeaKee.htm#ke
and see her McKaig entries
