Title: Whittington, Staffs - Missing Children (??) of William Clarke & Annie Britt

Hello,

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction, Please?...

My Paternal G/Grandparents William and Annie Clarke (nee Britt) (both born 1876) had the following children...
Horace William born 1903, Harriet Charlotte born 1904, Lily May born 1909, Thomas John born 1910 and Meg born 1913.
My Parents are certain that there were an additonal 1 or 2 children (girls), as Dads Father (Horace) spoke of Sister/s that emigrated to the USA.
There is a 'large'ish gap' between Harriet and Lily, so I guess there could be 2 children missing...(oh how we clutch at straws!... :) )
I have tried to locate additional children through BMD/Pilot Family Search, but cannot come up with anything... I would like to resolve this once and for all...
Any help gratefully received!

Are you certain about meg?

or was that just a nickname??

There were only 4 children born between marriage and early 1911
Horace Wuilliam Sept qtr 1903
Harriet Charlotte Sept qtr 1904
Lily Mary(may?) Mar qtr 1909
Thomas John Jun qtr 1910
all reg Lichfield

then there is Annie Clarke
mother's maiden name Britt
Jun qtr 1913
Lichfield
6b 945


there doesn't seem to be a birth reg for Meg? Was Meg really Annie??

There is a biirth reg Irene Clarke Jun qtr 1911 Lichfield 6b 471 -who may be a possibility -but birth cert needed to prove she was /or not???

Meg was the name she was always known by, but you are correct...she was Annie - Apologies...

Will think about ordering the cert for Irene...

Hi, My wife is a descendant of William Clarke and Ann Britt, both bap 1876 but he may have been b 1871? Vol 6b, p 445.
Marr 13 Apr 1903, St Giles, Whittington, Vol 6b, p 859, or 26 PL/1/422.
Children below (No others)
Horace William 1903-1989         marr Margaret Riley 3 sons
Harriet Charlotte 1904-bef 1950 marr William Hilton, 2 girls and a son + another
Lily Mary 1909- 1922
Thomas John, 1910-1972,         marr Margaret Mannion. (My wife's parents).4 Daughters.
Annie L 1913-1965 aka "Meg",   marr Percy Clews, 1 son.  Percy Clews died in WW2.
