hi, have a francis sivier married a betty tizzard 1746 sopley hants,can anyone please find children for this couple born ibsey hants?i have son francis 1748 ibsey.also any help with betty. many thanks jackie

I think you mean IBSLEY not Ibsey.
There is a Mary SEIVIOUR bap. Fordingbridge 11 Feb. 1756, father Francis from Gorley.

Whilst I can't give you any concrete information, I can tell you that there is a lady with the same surname who is a New Forest Commoner. I heard a talk from her recently, in Lymington, and she said that the surname came from some Huguenot refugees, and that everyone with the same surname in our area came from the same people. I happended to remember it because I went to school with someone called Scivier. Hope that helps.
