Title: Mold Presbyterian Chapel

Does anyone have any information on Mold English Presbyterian Chapel please?

My husband's grandparents were married there in 1932 and I'm trying to track down the baptisms and marriages on the bride's side. I know that the chapel was on the current site of  Dodd's Auction House and I believe it was demolished about 1972.

Does anyone know when it was built?

I'm trying to find out where the baptism/marriage etc records for the chapel are held. I've looked on genuki and the national library of Wales websites and not had any joy   :(, does anyone have any suggestions as to where they could be please?

Finally, was there a link between the Presbyterians and the Calvinist Methodists?

Bore Da Ardwyn,

I know that the Flintshire Record Office has very few records for births, marriages and deaths for the non conformist churches and chapels in Mold.

My understanding is that very few records from these establishments are in the public domain. The church close to where the Presbyterian Chapel stood, the Congregational, has retained all the records and these are kept privately. It is possible to see them by appointment. You may be lucky and can track the whereabouts of the records you are seeking but they may have been lost.

I will continue my search. I don't hold out much hope, but I thought it was worth asking just in case someone knows something about them.

Re;- Welsh presbyterians and Calvanistic Methodists. I grew up in Liverpool and the English speaking churches at Spellow Lane and Clubmoor used both descriptions at the same time.
