If anyone can help I am looking for the possible marriage of Ann Hunsdon of Sparsholt, bap 1704/5. I have been told that she married a William Taylor but I can find no record in the Sparsholt registers?
Thanks

It could possible be in Kinston Lylse?

Hi tomtame,
I have looked in the Kingston Lylse PRs (ex OFHS) and there are no "Hunsdon's" at all listed in either the bapts, marriage of burials registers that I can see.
In the Sparsholt PRs I expect you already have Ann's baptism as 27-2-1704 the dau of Thomas & Margaret, Farmer.
also in Sparsholt there is this burial;
3-1-1761 Ann Tailer, widow of Shefford.
this may be worth pursuing.

Thanks Alan
That's a lead worth following. I have a report of the marriage in the Sarum Marriage Licences so when I can go to Reading next I have a bit to go at now.
I am trying to link the Hunsdons of Sparsholt with the Tames/Whitehornes of Ardington and this seems the most probable link to a mourning link we have of Seymour Richmond's, Margarent Hunsdons husband.

Hi tom,
Here it is. You mentioning the Sarum Marriages Licences gave me the clue;

This is taken from the Wilts, Berks & Dorset Marriage Licence Bonds CD (ex WFHS). I should have mentioned
at the time.

Thanks so much, now I'm wondering what the link is to someone from Streatley, although as William Taylor is listed as gent I expect his contacts were much broader than your average labourer in those days.
Thank you again.

Hello Tom,
Reaching out to see if you are still active on here? I have Ann Hunsdon and William Taylor in my family tree and have just come across your post. I am trying to work out our family link to a Thomas Hunsdon.
I'd be keen to hear if you found out more about the line.
Thanks, Kirst

Hi Kirst
I have a little bit of info but only put her parents in my tree. We have a little book/pamphlet written by an historian of Sparsholt and it contains a lot of history on the Hunsdens and I think a family tree or as much as was known.
There are a lot of Thomas Hunsdens though many of them knighted.
PM me and I'll send you what I have on the Thomas in my tree and I'll look up the book and see what's in it?
In my tree the daughter of Ann Hunsdon married a William Whitehorn.
Regards Tom
