Title: Alexander Keith.
Post by: James Shepherd on Wednesday 13 October 10 20:51 BST (UK)
Hi, I am trying to find the date of birth or any information on my GG/Grandfather Alexander Keith. I know he Was born in Belfast 1865, a year either side. He is first seen in Liverpool my home town on the 1881 census then married in Liverpool 1887. His father's name on the certificate is also Alexander Keith.  Any help or guidance would be of great help. Thank you, James.

Ulster Historical Foundation website (AncestryIreland) has a birth for Alexander Keith, fathers name also Alexander Keith, for 1860. That's a pay to view site.

Stat records of births only started in Ireland in 1864, so presumably this data is based on church baptism records.

Saw the 1865 earlier but didn't post it since Alexander Keith's father was (according to marriage certificate) supposed to be Alexander.

Are you sure it's same couple? birth gives father as Samuel but marriage as John?

Sorry I wasn't clearer, the fathers were those of Samuel Keith and Isabella Crossin. I take your point though that Alexander's father was Alexander and the one which I found was Samuel.
