I am trying to verify the death dates for William Haighton, 18 October 1804 or 1809, and Mary Haighton, his wife, 12 Aug 1809. I found a reference that places their headstone in section D, #3 of the St. Andrew's Methodist and United Reformed Church in Skipton, Yorkshire. Church records are not available from Family History Library for burials this early. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help. Thank you.

If you can wait a couple of days I will have a look around the church yard. Unfortunately lots of the headstones have been moved around because of alterations etc. I see that you have a reference if where they could be if you could give me an indication of where abouts the plot numer is situated (as you are looking at the front of the church) it might be helpful.

I don't know the layout of the churchyard. The "D3" reference was sent to me by a another researcher who lives in Australia.

You're in luck, it was easy to find and in good condition
The headstone reads as follows:-
Sacred to the memory of Edmund Haighton son of William Haighton of Skipton Tin Plate worker who departed this life March 8th An. Dom. 1800 aged 26.
Also William Haighton father of the above who departed this life October 18th An. Dom. 1804 Aged 55
Also Mary relict of the above William Haighton who departed this live Aug 12th An. Dom. 1809 aged 59.
There should be pictures of the church if you g*****e it and the headstone is the third one in on the far left wall but I don't think that this would be the original placement.
