Looking once again for any information on the following.
John Scott Wait born 1877 Roxboro,Scotland married a Elizabeth Thorburn (b.1875 Dumbarton) in 1907 at Dumbarton.
Emigrated 1907 to Minneapolis, only child known John Scott Wait b. 1910 Minneapolis, mother died before 1918 possibly Minneapolis or Chicago.
John snr in 1918 living Chicago with son, working as Railway Machinist and died 1950 Lake County,Illinois.
John jnr. married a Lucille E. Mehan and had a daughter called (*), no information on marriage or birth, he died 1981 Chicago.
Daughter (*) present at funeral, no details on marriage.
The above info given by Indi in 2007 with thanks, any other info appreciated with thanks.

Thank you for that info., was going on the 1918 draft card but should have realised that nearest relative would have been John jnr. no mention of George.

Been kindly found info. on John Scott snr.died 6/11/1950 Lake Cty. John Scott Jnr. d. 6/19/1981 Chicago, Elizabeth Wait not found Chicago, may be Henniepen, Minniapolis after 1911, George Wait May 1970 but don't know where.
John Scott jnr. married a Lucille Marham? 20/9/1938 (Meehan?) anyone help.
Lucille died April 1985

Yes got it, but other than Illinois not where, assume Chicago.
John Scott snr. had to register in 1941, living Fox Lane, Lake, Illinois and person who will know his address was down as, George T. Wait, 1739 Devon Ave. Chicago, I assume that was his son George.

Registration Card-- (Men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897), other than that I don't know, he was 64 at the time.

Ok a little more info for you, I looked at the Draft card, that is Fox Lake, not lane. It is a town in Lake County, I live about 15 minutes from there. Maybe that can help you along a bit.

Hello everyone, thanks for all previous info. according to marriage her name was Marham b.ca 1913 & d. 1985 Chicago. not found any other children.
George Thorburn Wait b. 1911. d. 1970 Chicago? possibly married a Langham about 1942, children?
Not had much sucess with the 1930/40 census, too many hits.
Further info, John S. Wait 1909-1981, lived 1935-40 Eastwood Ave.,Chicago, with Lucille, he Shipping Clerk, her Telegraphist. Child not born until after 1940.
George Wait (Waitt) 1911-1970 lived 1935/40 1739 Devon Ave.,Chicago with wife Vivla (possibly Viola) b.ca 1907 Missuri and a son b. 1937, he draughtsman.
