I have Agnes H. W. Mitchell died 1872, her husband John Mitchell dates unknown and son John Mitchell died 26.8.1883 all in Grave 705 at Balgay Cemetery Dundee..
I am in Australia and due to ill health won't be able to visit Scotland as I had planned to in retirement. I was wondering it there is a very kind person who could visit Balgay Cemetery and if there is a grave headstone photograph it for me .... or if they have access to information on Balgay Cemetery look it up for me and tell me the location... of grave 705 .
then i can put in a request on billion Graves for a volunteer to visit and photo for me
thanks so much

Hi Chrissy
Why not contact the Parks Department for Dundee Council. They should hopefully be able to advice you where lair no 705 is to be found. See details here on Page 2 for Balgay Cemetery.

Hi Chrissy I have lots of my family buried in Balgay. The grave numbers usually have a letter in front of the number which indicates the section number e.g. Section L Lair 607.
I found the ladies at the Council very helpful when I emailed them at parks.burials@dundeecity.gov.uk
Good luck

If you find out the section number, I will have a look and see if there is a headstone. There are too many sections to traipse around looking for a specific lair number. As other posters on here have said, email
parks.burials "at" dundeecity.gov.uk
and ask them the burial location of John Mitchell who died 26th August 1883.
If you ask for a female, say, Agnes H W Mitchell, you would need date of death and her maiden name. If you don't refer her with her maiden name, they won't entertain you.
I would just ask about the son John and not mention anyone else.
Regards
John in Dundee
