Thankyou

Yeah, i know that she married John Morgan Davies and lived in either Dinas or Porth (which would come under Pontypridd)
This would be them:
Marriages Dec 1921
Morgan Sarah Davies Pontypridd 11a 1244
Davies John M Morgan Pontypridd 11a 1244
Then they had 5 children, one being Daniel Davies. I know John was a soldier during ww1 aswell.

Hi
On the marriage certificate how old was john and sarah? did they give their adddress and what was John 's occupation , what was there fathers names and occupation. If you have this info have you found them on the 1911 census?
The info on the coal business may be on that census?
sometimes you have to go back to go forward.
The info you gave is to liitle with names as Davies and Morgan in Porth/ Dinas.
cheers cardiff :)

Hey
I unfortunatly dont have a marriage cert, this is all from family knowledge. They address was possibly 45 Aberrhondda road, Porth but im not 100% sure.
John's occupation could possibly have been a Coal Miner, have no idea of Sarah's fathers name but know that he also ran the Coal Merchant business so it would possibly show as Coal Merchant on the marriage cert.
This is most possibly John in 1911 (he was born in 1894 but this is nearest to him)
HOUSEHOLD DAVIES JOHN MORGAN M 1895 16 Pontypridd Glamorganshire
way too many Sarah Morgan's for me too possibly point out and i know little info on her sadly :(

Hi
To be sure who you are looking for it looks like you need some form of certificate the marriage certificate will give you all the info I have said , so if you want to find them its the only way.
I think Aberrhondda road is the road leading up to Ynyshir from Porth. if I'm wrong some one will put me right
cheers cardiff ???

hi, havnt been on here in a while, I have now got the marriage certificate for Sarah Morgan to John Morgan Davies, his age was 26 and he was living in 4 West Taff Street, Ferndale (its in porth though) and her age was 21 and she was living in 36 Aberrhondda Road, Porth.
His father was David Davies a collier, and hers John Morgan also a collier. Very confusing I know since she also married a John Morgan Davies!!
If anyone could shed some light on this I'd be very grateful, hit a massive brick wall with this side of my family sadly.
Thanks again, Lyndsey

hi mabel, thank you very much for these! I have found them on the 1911 census but not on the 1901 so its very handy! Sadly still doesn't shed any light on the coal merchant business as her father is just a collier on her marriage cert :(
I have learnt alot about John Morgan Davies' family but sadly none about Sarah's, so im hoping to now dive into that side, hopefully it wont be too difficult!

Looking for the family of Elizabeth Morgan born in 1854 in Middlebrough, Yorkshire, England. She married a John Emanuel in 1873 in Wales. Her fathers name on the marriage certificate is listed as Sydney Morgan. She might have been a teacher or principal in Wales. Supposedly she came from a prominent family in her town and her father may have owned a coal mine/company. She had a daughter Elizabeth (1875) and possibly a son Ancel (1879) in Wales before heading to America around 1881.
