Thanks to help given on this site I now have the birth certificate of SARAH MCCALL TATE born in West Sunderland 14th June 1903. The mother is Annie TATE occupation Lady's companion, and living at42 Mainsforth Terrace West Sunderland, no fathers name. I wonder if anyone can help me find information for Annie Tate. I feel the MCCALL name maybe the fathers surname or Annie's mothers maiden name. I have been searching both ideas. Thank you

Do you have them in 1911 census, it would help tracing Annie, otherwise we are just looking for an Annie Tate in the right area :-\
There is a 20yr old Annie Tate living with her widowed father Robert in Sunderland in the 1901 census but without more details its impossible to say if shes the right one...

Thank you for the information, I believe the child Sarah McCall Tate was living with a family called Lawrence in the 1911 census as she had become Sarah McCall Tate Lawrence not sure if you was adopted or they just took her in. All a mystery.
