I'm Clare's mother and also trying to find out more about Ronald Jackson. It may help to know that he was registered as Albert Herbert Jackson but married in 1939 as Ronald A. H. Jackson and was know in the family as Ronnie. He is on the 1911 census without the Ronald.
Hope this may give more to go on and that someone may be able to help.
Happy New Year to all Rootschatters

Hello Ellen and Claire,
The SA online archive index offers up a reference to the following estate file, housed in Pretoria at the archives there. It might be worth your while getting hold of a copy of the Death Notice from this file, and also a will or other relevant genea docs. www.eggsa.org offers a photo service at very reasonable rates :
TAB
SOURCE MHG
REFERENCE 7483/75
DESCRIPTION JACKSON, JOYCE EDNA. (BORN WALSH).
STARTING 19750000 ENDING 19750000
REMARKS PREDECEASED SPOUSE RAH JACKSON.
The file reference indicates that Joyce died in the Transvaal in 1975 and her husband died before her. I have not been able to find his file reference on NAAIRS, but it might well be written on her death notice.
kind regards,

Thanks very much for your help Leanne. I shall look forward to following that up.
I remember Judy (as Joyce was known) dying but couldn't remember when it was.
My mother in law used to keep in touch - she died about 3 years ago and was Ronnie's youngest sibling.
Thanks again - Ellen
