I can view google maps - I can change to satellite mode - but can I get streetview to work can I heck - I can pick the little orange man up and place him where I want to view, then he just disappears and nothing happens - is something blocking me on my pc that I need to remove????
please help - thanks!!!!

Not everywhere is covered by Streetview- my daughter's former house was there a while back and then the last time I looked it was gone but since the Queen had just visited the area I suspect it might have been removed for security reasons.
When you 'pick up' the little orange man and go to place him where you want on the map do blue outlined roads appear? (this is the path of streetview)

hi
thanks for the reply - yes the blue outlines do show up but when I place the orange man he disappears and nothing happens - I am just left with the original map to look at
???

yes, sometimes, mine takes ages to load. I have windows 7 and don't fully understand, but I sometimes have to log into google map twice to get it to work properly. Even then I often have to wait to get to view street level.
Good luck

If you want to message me off board I can look it up for you.

There are several discussions about this and similar problems on the Google forums - most people are blaming a recent update by Google for the problem but Google themselves have not responded as yet.

Yes, I think it's something to do with 'Flash Player' or something.
Persistence is needed.

I'm not going mad - thank goodness - lol

I use Linux with Firefox and have the same problem, however I downloaded Google Chrome and found that Street View works perfect in that.
