Title: Duncan Gray - Alresford, Essex 1939
Post by: Alba11 on Thursday 23 September 10 17:08 BST (UK)
I am researching Duncan Gray, described on his death certificate 1 May 1939 as "Retired Farmer", with the address "Alva Glen, Alresford, Essex"  Can anyone help with the location of "Alva Glen" - was it a house or farm?  He died in Essex County Hospital but I have as yet no idea where he might have been buried.  A request to the local vicar in Alresford did not find a grave.  Has anyone seen a Duncan Gray grave?

hi i,m sure i,m right alresford comes under tendring dist council it could well be that he would have been buried in clacton cemetary ,unless he already had a plot bought earlier for a church yard , the other pos are wivenhoe which is about 4/5 miles away or colchester they would be your best bets to get in touch with .
regarding alva glen try google maps put in the address and see if anything comes up.
