Morning - it's near to Kenfig National Nature Reserve on google map.
Not a million miles from Sker House.
-
isn the town under the big lake that I can see in the pic ? if so that incredable
-
That's the local folk lore, but the experts reckon the town is under the dunes. The top of the castle is/was being 'dug'. They say it was the sand that covered the town.
Many tales of people hearing bells from Kenfig Pool ringing out in the night!
Great

yes My boy firends Grand father has told us that one about hearing bells very intresting indeed I think I might have to go and see for myself thank you for your help.

Brings back happy memories, there are two pubs nearby too, The Prince of Wales, the old Town Hall of Kenfig and the Angel which overlooks the dunes and am not sure, but I think you can see the castle from there.
Great walks to the coast too.
Well worth a visit.
