Title: ST Marys Parish Church, Soton look up request

Morning,

I am reseaching the Nutbeem family & am having issues with granchildren popping up on censuses with no record of which parent is theirs!

I would please like someone to have a look for the baptism of Clara Susannah Nutbeem 1858 (born I think first quarter), is it possible to find out who her parents were please? Nutbeem has been mispelt & mistranscribed regularly so any similiar looking surname would be likely too! I have had a thorough look on line but can not see baptisms for the date in question.

Clara Susannah NUTBEEM,
Birth:-           Southampton district, March Qtr 1858, Vol 2c, Page 19.
Marriage:-     Southampton district, September Qtr 1896, Vol 2c, page 51 it would seem that she married a Thomas GRANT, and in the 1901 census was living in West Parley in Dorset with children having been born in India, but the ages for the children doesn't add up, Edith is 15 and John is 12 both born in Karachi, might be worth checking out!

Thanks for your reply. Until I can confirm who her parents are I am not looking at her marriage etc yet as she may not be the family line I am researching, but thank you very much for the info you have found for me, I will save it for later use.

Clara Susannah Nutbeem spinster age 38, father William Nutbeem a Builder

married 30 July 1896 St Matthews, Southampton

Thomas Grant widower age 54 an Engineer, of Compton Walk. Father John Grant ( i couldn't make out his occupation)

No Baptism for Clara at Archives
