This topic has been mentioned before in the section for Co. Louth - see : DUNDALK Marriage (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,483530.0.html)
You need to search the BMD Index (details on this included in the introduction link) and locate possible marriage records. Once you locate these references you can order a cert from the GRO to see if it's the marriage you are looking for.

Thanks, Shane- I was just merging and moving the thread before you posted so both threads are now together and on Louth board. (Drogheda is also in Co. Louth)

There's a possible match for the marriage with this record :
Name: Michael Boyce
Registration District: Dundalk
Event Type: Marriage
Quarter and Year: Apr - Jun 1936
Volume : 2 / Page : 511
The only Michael Boyce marriage on the BMD Index that I see in, or near, Co. Louth that year. Dundalk is the registration district and covers Dundalk town and surrounding areas like Carlingford, Louth Town, Rathcor etc.

there's an index cross match with Elizabeth - so those references looks to be a good match :
Name: Elizabeth O'Kane
Registration District: Dundalk
Event Type: Marriage
Quarter and Year: Apr - Jun 1936
volume : 2 / page : 511
references (year/qtr, district, volume and page) are the same
